Oxalic Acid - Some Basic Things You Should Know

Basic Information Oxalic acid is an organic chemical that is found in many plants and food sources.  If you eat lots of foods that are high in oxalic acid, and you do not drink lots of water and exercise a lot, then there is a chance that in some people, the oxalic acid could become calcium oxalate crystals that build in your kidneys, bladder, and joints.

Potential challenges for your body
-can build up in joints, kidneys, &   
  bladder
-kidney stones
-pain in joints, feet, knees

Ways to help your body clean out excess oxalic acid
-Drink lots of water
-Exercise a lot.
-Each morning, drink a large glass of lemon water. For even more help, drink that glass of lemon water with a tsp of coldpressed olive oil stirred in it as well.
-Eat lots of vegetables but not too much spinach, chard, beet greens
-Avoid soft drinks.
-Make sure you get enough Ca in your daily diet (most of us do not get enough).
-Mg supplement daily.
-B complex supplement daily.
-Eat foods high in Vitamin C.
-Do not eat meat.

-Daily aloe vera gel - 1/2 cup or less.
-Cranberry extract - 400mg/twice a day.
-5000IU of vitamin A & 400 IU of vitamin E daily.

Rhubarb leaves (poisonous; do not eat)
Rhubarb
Lamb's quarters
Sorrel
Purslane
Star fruit
Black pepper
Parsley
Poppy seed
Amaranth
Spinach
Chard
Beets
Cocoa
Chocolate
most nuts
most berries
beans
